Hello Family!

Shannon has sent a prayer request update as
follows:

1. The negotiation for the secure a space in
London continues well and more prayer is needed today. First, Shannon
just sent a letter and the building document to the Arch Deacon of
Hackney. Whatever the building group decides to do she will have to
approve it. This is a big deal. For one thing, they need to see what
we are doing as complementary and not as a threat.	Please pray for the
ArchDeacon, Rachel, to feel prompted by the Lord to take a risk and
want to work with Shannon's ministry.

2. Ongoing and
increased finanical needs

3. Please pray for the community

thanks for your faithful support and encouragement over the years.

Thanks again and happy Advent season!

In His Name<br

Bring it on! The Stone Soup theme this month is brokenness and gratitude, so in our visual arts area, we'll be using everybody's broken stuff to make a collaborative mosaic. So actually we're just thinking of broken dishes, pots, stuff like that. Broken carburetor? Leave it at home. Broken DVD player? No need to share. Broken hearts? Not so much for the mosaic but they do tend to lead to excellent poems and songs and stories, all of which we'd love to hear on the open mic. Read/sing your own work or someone else's.

the 13th. It's just a week away! Brokenness and Gratitude are our
theme for November.

Much like the story of stone soup, we
are in need of all the little bits that you bring to make this a worthy
stew.

If you are willing to show up early to help set up
tables and canopy, put out signs, and set up sound equipment let us
know by hitting reply and saying so.

We would love to
experience your cooking (or your food shopping) as well. Hit reply and
let us know what your are bringing.

There will be at least
one fire pit. Whoever among you is desirous of maintaining a good
flame... Hit reply and let us know. And if you have a second fire pit
to contribute... HRALUK

If you have a good low watt idea for
lighting the stage after sunset... HRALUK

Spare camp
chairs
Blankets
Outdoor pillows
Drinks... Hot or cold

Friends who need invites

We are excited to here what
you have to offer at the mic.

There will also be a mosaic in
progress. So bring whatever broken dishes or tiles you'd like to
add.

Most of all... Bring a willingness to hear a good

1.	When and where*? This Sunday, October 16, from 4:00 p.m.
until dark. Plaza Solana at White Rock Lake in Dallas.
2. Is
it okay for me to bring kids? Yes, but only if you're okay with
them having fun and getting their creativity nurtured. (There will be
face-painting, sidewalk chalk, and other art projects, and--of
course--kids are welcome to share their stuff on the open mike.
3.
What should I bring? Mostly you, but we'd love for you to
bring your instruments, sketchbook, whatever, and share some of your
creativity with us. You could also bring snacks to share, lawn chairs
or blankets for seating, and friends.

What is Stone
Soup?

It's an old story, and there are countless
versions, but here's the heart of it:
There are two travelers-
sometimes soldiers, sometimes monks, sometimes immigrants- but always
people on a journey, as all of us are.
They stop in a village and,
being quite hungry, ask if anyone will share a bit of food. But times
are hard, and there is not a crumb to spare.
Thus, the travelers
start a pot of water boiling with nothing but a few clean rocks in it.
To the curious villagers, they explain that they are preparing Stone
Soup.
And then the magic begins. Not the kind of magic where the
stones mysteriously change into whatever one wishes. No, this is a far
more powerful magic, for what changes are not stones but hearts.
Aloud the travelers comment that a bit of salt always enhances the
flavors of stone soup. A kind-hearted grandmother admits that she could
spare a pinch or two of salt. Potatoes? Oh, the man next door has a few
of those he can bring. And one by one the villagers realize that they
do have something to offer.
At this point, the ingredients vary
depending on the setting- cabbage, pasta, black-eyed peas, dried fish,
chili peppers, corn.
Whatever the delicious simmering blend, the
result is the same. Enough. Not just enough for the two travelers, but
for the whole village. And not just enough, but plenty. Plenty for
all.
So we artists gather, bringing our own small contributions,
bits from where we've been, pebbles we've picked up along the way. We
bring songs and poems and paintings. We bring stories and sketches and
harmonies. We put it all together and find that there is plenty.
And we sit back, awed by the abundance.

Hope to see
you there!

*DIRECTIONS to Plaza Solana: Take White
Rock Road**. At the point where it splits, Lawther goes on to the left
and White Rock Road Turns right toward the lake (It's about a 90 degree
